No bonfire for us tonight, but it’s been a great afternoon planting pots and I had company for most of it! I call this little chap Alfie, he follows me around the garden regularly and today I’d used some compost from a dark corner of the garden – full of worms so I was almost nudging him out of the way so that I could complete the job!

Love the result though, this display includes several self seeded plants I found around the garden, some euphorbia amygdaloides, pachysandra, ajuga and a helleborus argutifolius.
